Everyone’s looking for a way to draw new students these days. YouTube may have the answer – and it won’t cost you a dime.
YouTube is dedicating a channel exclusively to providing free college course content.
More schools are posting a variety of materials – including actual course lectures and other course content – online to give a taste of campus life to anyone with Internet access.
Predictably, promotional videos like campus tours are included. But some schools are also posting actual classroom instruction content. At least one school has even made a full semester’s course available.
Why give away course content for free? There’s the noble idea that a school’s mission is to teach and serve the community.
But there’s also a more practical reason: Giving a sample of your school’s experience can be a great way to draw new students.
