More schools allowing pets in dorms

There’s a growing trend on campuses nationwide: allowing students to have pets in their dorm rooms. Here’s a look at some of the top pet-friendly colleges, according to Petside.com.
Eckard College in St. Petersburg, Florida tops the list, according to the Web site.
Student stress is the reason more and more post secondary institutions are implementing “pet wings” in a number of dormitories on campus.
Pets are known to be an antidote for typical student stressors, such as homesickness and loneliness.
Rounding out the top five universities on the list: Stephens College in Missouri, Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania, Principia College in Illinois, and the California Institute of Technology.
